Anyone spec'd. theirs yet and if so which colour have you gone for from the limited choice of six? I've gone for Space Grey but in the best traditions of all Petrol Heads change my mind on an hourly basis! Having seen a white one the other day, which looked superb in the same way as the 997GT3 does in that colour, I tried to pluck up courage and go for that but whimped out I'm afraid

Well I've just reviewed the available colours so far, and it's an interesting "choice". Two blacks, two greys, a white and a silver can be had, none of which count as "colours" in my book! So it's blue or red.

I quite like Interlagos Blue, but I've not seen the red in the metal yet so I'll reserve judgement. Pitty it's not Imola Red though.

I regret now not putting my name down a year back. The waiting list is stretching out to infinity, and I really don't want to pay a premium, so I am going to be "the guy in last year's model" mighty soon.

I hope you all enjoy the new one, it looks great.

So what? The E46 M3 is still miles ahead of anythging in the E90 range IMO and the new one will not be prominent until 2008 at least and from what I read, there are loads that have cancelled their orders so I would expect to see some available later this year or early 2008, if the price is right then I will change to a new one, if not it'll be an X5 for me I think

I wouldn't worry mate - you've still got a blinding car! Although stories of cancelled orders are hugely exaggerated - the wait is currently two years - I guarantee you that if you put your name down now with three or four dealers and make it clear that you can move as soon as a car is available you'll get one for the spring. People do cancel due to changed circumstances and the next person on a dealers list isn't always able to go ahead at unexpectedly short notice. Also I'm sure that within a few months or so of launch a few of those '1000 miles only' cars will start appearing and as this car is going to be at least £55k list, I don't think those will be fetching over list when they appear. Maybe the very first brand new cars will for a few months but not subsequent low mileage ones IMO.

Yeah i'd agree, I have my name down with 3 dealers and just see what happens, won't be paying 55k though so i'd be one of those that might not be able to move quickly enough if the price doesn't drop in time

If I'm feeling brave on the day I'll get mine in white, otherwise it will be the gun metal colour.
