Does anyone know the life cycle on the current M5,ie the 5 series just being facelifted, what effect if any does this have on the M. When are the changes due?

Many thanks

Expect to see the current E60 5 series continue in production until early 2010.

The next generation 5 series (called F10) will be introduced as a 2010 model (production will probably commence in Autumn 2009). The next M5 based on the F10 will not appear until 2011 at the earliest.

There is always a gap when no new M5s are made. This occurs when the old body shape is out of production but the new M model is not yet ready.

Hope this helps.
