Hi all,

I'm planning an 'interesting' event on Sunday 12 August at an airfield near Ipswich which will see a selection of TVR Cerbera take on a wide selection of bracket supercars in a 1 mile standing start drag. The cars will race 2 at a time and will be comprehensively timed/speed recorded at the 1/4, 1/2 and 1 mile points. The results should make interesting reading.

See here for info;

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=388939

and here for the current racing list;

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=390419

Basically looking to recruit some V10 M5's / M6's into the running list as we have no M Power cars in there at present. Could take a few straight six M Cars, but would definitely want a few V10 models there.

Thanks!!

possibility. There is the issue of the speed limiter though, which will kick in way before the mile mark. It will already be nudging 120 mph at the 1/4 mile.

Note: E60 M5 speed limiter kicks in at an actual 164mph (showing 168 on the speedo).

I have a delimted E60 M5 and would have greatly enjoyed this, not being shy I know what I can take on when it comes to day to day road driving - sure that some of the Thames Valley crowd would validate! thumbup

Sadly though, I'm away in August so will have to miss this one.

Would be worth posting up on the M5Board.com as this would probably get a decent response. Some of the guys in Sweden for example are running some seriously tweaked E60's...
