Just wondering what to put in my M3 when hopefully I pick it up today, I used to have a 4.5 Cerbera and the only thing I ran her on was SHELL V POWER, made a masssive difference, has anybody got any good suggestions to what they prefere, obviousley not the supermarket c**p.
But I did hear that TESCO had a high octane fuel, not too sure though.
Any recommendations, many thanks, Chris.

If you go to the Thornymotorsport web site, they did a dyno test on fuels and used a CSL for the test car.

I used to use V Power in my 968 and the odd tank of Tesco 99RON, never noticed any difference except that Tesco was cheaper.

You would be surprised, I have found sainsburys/tesco 97 (cant get 99 in devon) to be much better than the Vpower near where I live. Most likely due to the fact that supermarket stuff actually has a turnaround of super, whilst I never see any kind of decent car at the shell station, so the super must be weeks old... Living in the poorest area of the country doesnt help, but at least the roads are empty

I run Tesco's 99 and it's fine but everynow and then have to fill up elsewhere and I try and only use vpower, I always find on these occasions that the Vpower is purkier in the M3 and slightly better consumption, octane ratings of all fuels diminish if left standing so quicker turnaround garages should be fresher

I discoverd the shell V-power(97) does very good in it, even better then the BP Ultimate, ofcorse the German V-power 100 is even better but in my new Hartge 5.0 V8 it really needs the BP Ultimate...but thats another engine
