E46 M3 vs 330i sport

Here's a question for those of your with experience of the above two cars.
Quite clearly there is a BIG difference in the power output of the engine in the two cars. From what I can see, the tyres are very similar in size. What's the handling like when comparing a 330i sport to an M3?
I'd assume that the M3 would have more direct steering, and probably suspension too, but I wanted to check.

M3 has harsher ride, but handles better. It is more "tightly" set up. The 330Ci is a great car, but the M34 is a much better drive, unless you are just look for a motorway cruiser.

To really apperciate the M3 you need to be driving it at 80-90% but to enjoy the 330i you can appreciate it at any speed! Its performance vs smoothness and a speed difference of little here in the UK.

as above but there's no contest for the keen driver. M wins it by a country mile

Most 330 sports are auto, difficult to compare but i've owned both and would say 330 is a nicer day to day drive. M car feels tighter in my opinion. Really comes down to personal preferance and how you drive
