Launch Control
Discussion
It's a bit pointless IMO.
DSC off, select S6, then hold the gear shifter forward, accelerate and let go of the shifter.
There are supposedly two modes - "burnout" where it spins the wheels and "launch" where it restricts wheelspin as much as possible. In 4 years of owning a SMG car I never quite worked out how to get one or the other. It's something to do with where the accelerator is when you let go of the shifter, or how fast you kick the accelerator, or whether you use the kickdown button or not.
As to the warranty, if the car exhibited severe wear on a clutch and it was down to abuse, they'd refuse to change it under warranty. They can check the counter but I gather this is an involved task and rarely done.
It's easy to spot an abused/worn clutch, SMG or manual, so I guess warranty claims would be handled just like any other car.
