Hi Guys

Noticed the EVO was facelifted in 97 to have the wider more full kidney grill, doesnt anyone know if that actually changed the front panel it sits in, as ive heard mixed reports on the subject.

Im wondering if you can just buy the later grill and pop it in. I know there are kits available, but they all seem to be chrome, and i just want the wider chrome edge, with the black fins.

cheers

I'd like to know the answer to this too. I'm eying E36 M3s at the moment and I might prefer an non-Evo, but I'd like to facelift it if I do get one.

The answer is yes. The Front panel IS different. The grilles on the facelift car sit proud and are a different shape. The pre-face lift are more square and recessed

You can however, get aftermarket post facelift grilles that will fit the pre-facelift panel.

Try Ben at www.chromelinedesign.com for info. Tell him Guy sent you.

I put one on my old M3 3.0 Vert

Should have painted it black as I felt it was to bling!
