HI guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on this/has run something other than oem on their z4mc at the track.

What are the most important things to change if any as this will be my first track day experience.
I was initially thinking of just changing the pads to blue stuff while at the track and returning to stock for road use. What are your thoughts on this and will the discs be adversly effected?

You may need to change the brake fluid and the pads to have much benefit. When were your disks renewed if at all, and remember to do a slow lap or two to let everything cool off before you come into the pits and stop. Fail to do this and you may well warp the disks, ouch!!

Discs havent been replaced but only have 4kmiles on them - majority are motorway miles with only a handful of fast road runs.
I was thinking about changing the fluid - any suggestions?

I run ATE Super Blue Racing fluid, SS Goodridge lines, CARBOPAD brake pads and standard disks. It is deffo an improvement on the original set-up as fade is eliminated...

The fluid, hoses and pads are what you should upgrade, best value is the AP racing fluid, goodridge hoses and if you want a decent pad that will last ages, work well on the road and also handle trackdays then it simply has to be Pagid RS29 pads, should cost around £300 all in with VAT and delivery. This is what I sell most of and it works a treat.

very competitive pricing and top performance... You could also try Cool Carbon pads from Turner Motor Sport in the U.S. but they don't last long and squeel like pigs...
