Hi,
Been browsing these forums for a while & it seems a good place to ask this question...

I have a Z4M Roadster, and the rear tyres need replacing. From what I've read on here, generally more about the coupe, the general consensus seems to be Michelin Pilot Sports. Although it seems people also change to the CSL 19" wheels as well and I'm just planning to leave the standard ones on there, so are the Michelin's still the ones to go for?

Also, the fronts are nowhere near needing replacing yet, but am guessing it'd be a bad idea to have different types of tyres front & rear, so should do all 4?

Thanks

If the fronts still have some grip on them, keep them there. So long as you have matching pairs, there should not be too much difference in handling. Michelin's are great, Pirelli are worth a look for the summer months and also if you are feeling brave Yokohamas! Softer but great for trackwork if a little noisy!

Thanks, will have a look at those. May well leave the fronts for now then, there is plenty of grip left. Should have mentioned in the original post, but the tyres are currently the standard Continentals...

Conti's are probably a pretty hard tyre on that car and to enjoy the chassis more you want softer grip. However the softer the tyre the less life but the more fun is to be had. I would buy some Michelin's or Pirelli's for the next six or so months and have fun.
