M3 try out / track day any suggestions?
Discussion
Got my E46 M3 a month or so ago and I'm enjoying it... a lot!! I've done a few trackdays before (not with this) and I fancy doing one with this mainly to explore its limits safely and learn how to handle it properly. But, knowing how much the tyres are etc (19" ) and the fact i'd probably fry the brakes I was thinking about doing one of these M3 Experience days (i.e with someone elses car).
Anyone had any experience with these, are they a bit too 'controlled' and do you get good track time. Also any other suggestions for track days / tuition days with the M3's would be appreciated!

The ultimate track day is a trip to the Nurburgring.
The track is so long, that all the cars seperate out, and you generally get your own bit of space to drive in with no pressure.
You can have great fun there, even if you just treat it as a fast country road rather than a race track, which means it takes less out of the car.
As an added bonus, it's a beautiful part of the world, is reasonably easy to get to and isn't too expensive once you're there.
Do a Google search on "Ben Lovejoy's Nurburgring" and his site will tell you everything you need to know.
