Hi GTRene, have had a look around the base of the pedal looks ok can't decide wether it is the cable or the link part of the pedal ,how is the V8 going ?

The V8 is going very very strong its a masterpiece the best car from all I ever owned, It feels also very strange/special with all that low grunt...and its "easily" topping 300km/u and that with a bad CW drag of 0,37...so I'm very pleased
I keep it a few months and then I give somebody else a chance to own a one made off super-car...for a price of a new Z3 M coupe (dutch price that is) you can own the only one made and real Hartge Z3 coupe 5.0 and it looks like new too so looking at it that way its a bargain!

Ow, try to feel at the throttle house and move the throttle by hand to feel were the heavy feeling comes from? then you also can see if the cable works smoothly otherwise inject some WD40 in the cable?

Next to a Ultima? that's a nice compliment to the Z3 m coupe and I must say the Hartge is my fourth Z3 M coupe and they are very good all-rounders! fix some 18 or 19 inch wheels lower the suspension a bit and you have a very good daily sporty tool...
The Hartge is a bit best of both worlds, I don't have room for more cars, only one garage to store my car.
Glad your cable works better now, I think over the years it dry-ed out or-so? so a new cable would be a good idea, a good feeling accelerator is very important to get a sporty feeling, and you get used to the longer clutch pedal travel, they did that because to lower slipping clutch for some people at least that's what they told me, also put a good chip in and remove the speed-limiter and it likes Shell V-power, have fun

Hi Rene , yep just been out for a blast its hornie's car but she's let me have a go ...at last !!!! its a roadster so it matches the can-am !!!! she's wanted one for a while and its been worth the wait see what you mean about the long clutch took a bit of getting used too engine is a peach only done 37000 miles and it feels a bit tight but i love the sound and the way it revs have got to sell the can-am but i think this will be a good replacement !!! . simon

Simon, I think she got a wonderful car in that, so its a roadster I also had one of those, it was my first Z3 the Z3 M roadster from 1997 had a lovely time in it and its faster then the documents say it is, did some sprints with it too in standard trim and won them all there where only 7cars from 137 tuned cars faster on the 1/8mile then me but only by a margin, its a easy car to live with and open its lovely to hear it scream...
I'm not a roadster fan but the Z3 M was nice the Coupe is a bit stiffer and that means you have to drive 20<>30km/h faster to get the same thrills but then its also a bit sportier...and I like the shape of the coupe, anyway nice weather is coming and a roadster such as the M is ofcorse a very good car for that its for relaxed driving in the sun, but also for some fast driving-funyes
good luck with your new buy...wiesmann sells some nice hardtops for cold weather, they look really nice on a Z3 M

A new throttle cable is not expensive, and quite a few comment how the Z3M always wake up after changing. Apparently the cable stretches over time, so it would also help on performance and not least the stiff throttle feeling.
