BMW trackdays at Brands

If your name's not BMW, you can't come in.

Following an initial all-BMW Trackday at Brands Hatch last year, MotorSport Vision will be offering BMW owners two further chances to get track action exclusively with other BMWs.

Brands will welcome these
Brands will welcome these

The first event will be held in the evening at Brands Hatch on 11th April where drivers will receive two and a half hours track time for £99. The second trackday is a full day on the 26th June, again at Brands Hatch and is £199 for the day.

The events are open to anyone sat behind the wheel of a car with the famous propeller on the nose – whether 318i or M6.

For further information or to book this event call 0870 850 5014 or follow the link below.

Oh all right then.....

The snag is that no-one will use the racing line - they're all in a long queue on the right hand side of the track and none will move over....

(sorry ... look, I have a 330Ci myself...)

I can imagine the briefing now...

"If someone is coming up behind you who is faster, only let them past on the left"

[crowd nods knowingly]

"To show your intent to let someone past put your right indicator on and lift of the accelerator"

[stunned silence and a few confused murmurings mentioning an "inderwhater?"]

I definitely am interested in this. I certainly haven't got as much as 385bhp, but i'm sure that I can still have a little fun in my totally standard '89 E34 535i Sport manual!

Just need to arrange time off from work for the Wed afternoon...!

Surely they'll all get brake fade, and they'll be a massive pile up on the first bend

suppose they don't want any cars allowed on the track with them, like lotus 7's or even cheaper westfields, and making them look a bit slow.

Im undecided.
Ive never done a track day before, and my Ive only just got my new M5 (E39), and dont want to have a mishap.
On the other, I would love to give it some serious driving, the shorter evening one would be fine for me (dont want to give it too much of a hard time) and it would certainly get me some use out of these crap Dunlop tyres, before I change em.

I shall have my big brake kit installed by then and the E34 M5 will be flying around the Indy circuit.

Bedfords a great track for the first time, lots of run offs, and plenty big

I took my Z4M on Brands and as long as you realise that you want to drive it home at the end of the day everything will be fine. I must say that £99 is slightly steep for an evening session considering my whole day in December (low season admittedly) was also £99. Agree with the Bedford recommendation for a first time.

Maybe the £30K+ BMW drivers don't fancy being crashed into by a £1500 toast rack.
