In view of todays Budget changes, does anyone know the co2 emissions (co2/km gm -I think is how its refered?) Does it mean it is in the new higher tax bracket?
Appreciate any comments.

Thanks

Roy.

Check this out:

It seems to me that the new £300(£400next year) band is only for cars registered after 23rd March 2006.

It could be that the car has been imported to Britain after 23rd March 2006.

My car was first registered in June 2001 in Nothern Ireland, and was brought to Scotland in June 2006 and registered with DVLA. It now shows on the DVLA website as costing £300 for 12 months road tax.

I've contacted DVLA regarding this and it's a mistake, the correct figure is £205, as it goes by the date the vehicle was first registered anywhere, not the date of first registration in the UK.

The advice I was given by DVLA was, at renewal time, to take the tax disc renewal form, along with the vehicle registration document to a DVLA local office (not a post office), and they will sort out the problem and issue a tax disc in the correct amount.
