Just bought E39 M5
Discussion
Hi all,
Had to tell someone!!
Bought an E39 M5 from Munich Legends on Saturday last week - take delivery a week saturday after new clutch and some cosmetics - having trouble concentrating at work in the mean time.
Seen all the feedback ref ML both good and bad so no need to chip in on that.
Just cant wait to get behind the wheel.
Cheers
Chris

Ok then here goes
2000W Anthracite Metalic 50,042 miles 1 owner full BMW SH all VANOS warranty upgrades (oil accumulator etc.) Heritage Leather but no SatNav - upgraded stereo option.
Probably paid about £1.5k more than i could have bought it for from another dealer but I got a good feeling about the team there and the car is pretty well spotless inside and out, low mileage and FSH - getting a new clutch, alloys refurbed 2 new tyres and a few other bits and bobs as well.
Looked around for a while - actually nearly bought a B3S Alpina Saloon but then heard the V8 in the M5 and after that it was a no-brainer. Incredibly the M5 was about £300 cheaper to insure than the best quote I got on the B3S as well.
Even better as it is a 2000 car I have missed Mr Brown's stealth tax into the bargain. Nearly 5 litres of V8 and 4 exhaust pipes for the same price as my 1.8 Zafira - superb!
Roll on March 31!

Nice one. The fastest ones are anthracite!
No they're not, they're carbon black, everyone knows that.
I think you will find Bluewater is by far the fastest colour!!
Seriously congrats on the purchase
And well done on paying a little extra for the right car. When buying a car like this, it far more important to get the right car. Too many people so too hung up on discounts, and miss out on good car because of this. Cheap cars are cheap for a reason, no-one ever undersells anything.
