Dick Lovett Bristol

Hi All,

I'm going to inspect a M3 Coupe this Saturday. I've been informed this afternoon by BMW Customer Service that its been serviced all its life by Dick Lovett Bristol (the car is for sale at a different dealer group).

I'm not familiar with this group, therefore, I've done a quick google and found some negative reviews.

Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with them? Should I worry if they've "worked" on the car?

Note: Car is just under 2 years old and done just over 10K. Running In Service (at 1250) and Oil Service.

Wouldn't put me off the car. DL Bristol are part of a larger group that also includes BMW in Swindon and Hungerford.

With my E39, I get the service book stuff done there, also had an oxygen sensor replaced there. Quick service, car ready on time etc also they do the 4+ discount scheme for cars over 4 years old.

My brother gets his E60 done there and they've been pretty good at sorting out a few teething problems caused by the factory letting cars out with the odd candifloss component!

Don't worry about it. I bought a Boxster S from DL Swindon and they were really good. Dick Lovett are quite a large group - sell Porsche, Ferrari, Maseratti, Jeep and BMW.

Yes Edward does. I have now bought 4 cars since last August from them and I am very happy with them as a dealer.

In addition they have worked on my old M3 and my imported Boxster.

Always remember that people tend to use an internet forum as a place to sound off about a bad experience, not necessarily about something good. Plus of course a dealer will never please everyone all of the time.

My personal import 2002 E39 530dT has been serviced from new for me by Lovetts and has just had an Inspection II at 107,000. Overall excellent service, car always valeted and ready on time. Never had cause to complain.
My brother has his 330ci serviced by them with similar good results.

Also nothnig basd to say here on the servcie side althought eh new sales team failed to come up trumps ona deal on a new Z4m Roadster so I bought mine in Bath.

Have dealt with DL Swindon for years now and they have been excellent.

Have the Alpina serviced there (dick loves it Bristol)....ok as garages go.
