Z4m bluetooth

just got a new phone (samsung) does anyone know how to connect your bluetooth phone to the car..had an LG phone which the dealer set up for me and unsure how to connect the samsung..

any pointers greatly appreciated!

Easiest way would be to look in the manual. From memory you have to turn the key to position one, whilst pressing the button in the centre console which should activate the search facility on the BT, thus locating your phone. You'll also need the code from the manual.

just to check, was bluetoooth an option or standard? I cant remember - doh

I have a Z4 M Coupe and if I remember rightly you need to turn the ignition off then press down the button on the centre console. Keep your finger on the button and then turn on the igntion hold the button for a couple of seconds and release. The car then should start searching for devices. Make sure your phone is also searcing for devices and then they should find each other. You will be asked by your phone if you want to connect when you say yes it will probably ask you for a code in a Z4 you will probably find a code on a card with the manual enter this to the phone and that should then connect. Then away you go. On models with later software such as E90 and E92 I think that you can enter any code into the phone but you then have to enter the same into the car. Hope this helps apologies if it is a bit vague as it is just from memory.
