Pre-Purchase Inspection

Who would people recommend to perform a pre-purchase inspection on an M3 ?

BMW or are there any good, knowledgeable independents in the London area ?

BMW will do the 100 odd point approved used car inspection for around the £220 mark.

do you know what they actually check, what about if the car is under warranty is there any need.

Not sure exactly what they check, but I think it's quite an extensive inspection. I know they check the wear on the brake pads and discs, the tyres and possibly the clutch as well, which are items that probably wouldn't be covered by the warranty.

I think they also check the car's service history, and any warranty work or recalls that have been done.
