Carrying on my now regular searches of the cheapest M's on the BMW AUC website, this looks good:

www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details/0,5079,1260_159980106__,00.html?currentCh=WBSDE92050BJ11631

2001 M5, 30k miles, 20k pounds!

Which is making the cheapest M3 on the system look expensive:

www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details/0,5079,1260_159980106__,00.html?currentCh=WBSBL92000JR03804

2002 M3, 40k miles 21k pounds.

A lot of car for the money, one of the best colour combinations and a good low mileage. Only fly in the ointment is no sat-nav, but £9.99 buys an A-Z.

But even that M3 bears out what I suspected in another stem.

That's a BMW AUC being sold for less than some comparable private ones in the PH classifieds?

Out of interest...do BMW AUCs come with a warranty? If so how much warranty - thanks

One year, unlimited mileage warranty, one year breakdown cover and one year MOT insurance.
They also have full HPI check and service history and mileage verification.

Thanks Dave

Well, that makes both of those two cars Olf posted look even more attractive given the cost of otherwise buying an extended warranty on an M-car?

From what I can see, half of the people advertising in PH classifieds are dreaming....

It's a shame Adom because there are actually cars on there in terms of colour, spec etc that I might have been interested in but with their prices higher than AUCs, no warranty and near £5K more than you got yours for I'll just have to sit and wait...no hurry sleep

I'd been looking for a little while (mainly on Autotrader site) and properly priced cars do come up - just got to keep a look out and be prepared to travel a little...
