I'm getting used to my second E36 M3 evo and aside from a better clutch and gear feel the oil temperature seem to be running 90 to 95!!! my last car ran 100!!! Is this variation normal? what should they run at?

Mine runs at 90-95 unless i'm really thrashing it then it seems to go up to about 100. Might be different or newer oil to your previous one, don't know if this would make any difference to the temp it runs at just an idea.

No standard only had it a couple of months, would like to get it remapped eventually but going to leave it as it is for the moment.

Thats the one i look at, mine only goes up to 150 max with 100 in the middle and starts on the gauge at 50. Is yours a uk model?

Mine is a UK model. Mine is actually under the rev counter, Mine starts at 120 then has 300 in the middle. Although mine is one of the first Evo's.....

Its a 99 evo convertable (v reg)UK spec, and starts at 50 with 100 in the middle.

I've had an ECU remap done by Simon @ E-maps (£200), very good!!!! especially with the K&N57i induction kit
