BMW display key - discontinued?

I’m just about to buy a 2021 M8 Gran Coupe. Should this come with a display key in addition to the standard one? Main dealer is saying they think they were discontinued in 2020 is that correct?

They were discontinued as they say, I had one on a 740d xdrive pretty useless and I put it in a drawer for the duration, you're not missing anything.

Thanks yes I’ve had a few previously and have one for my current F90 M5 competition. I just wanted to check I want being misled as no doubt if not present on trade in or resale it’ll be an issue

Totally useless. I've had two, always left in a desk. App does all plus more.

Also, the normal keys have the key blade to gain access when all else fails.
