F90 M5 mobile mechanic or service centre with pickup/dropoff
Discussion
Hey. I've got an F90 M5 Comp 2021 LCI which I use for both normal driving and track days. That means I'm often swapping or replacing tyres, brakes, brake fluid, etc.
I'm in Central London and don't have a garage so can't do it myself, and I also have a very intense job which means that taking it down to the service centre is hard as I need to call, wait, book, then take the best part of a half-day to get it there and get back to home or the office. So I'm trying to find a solution where I can either do this via a mobile mechanic, or have someone pick up the car to drive it to the service centre and back.
So far the first route isn't going well. I tried doing the tyres via a mobile fitter just now this weekend. First guy came, used an impact wrench on the wheel bolts, now they're all overdone and seized up. Had to get a second guy to come to undo them so I can retorque properly (that bit I do myself with a torque wrench), and now I have to buy new bolts because they're all wrecked. The second guy also didn't care, was chucking the bolts on the ground, kicking the wheel to get it off. If I had ceramics it would have been game over.
Would appreciate any recommendations for either a proven mobile mechanic, where you get a specific person rather than a pot-luck random guy in a van, or for a service centre that you'd trust with an M5 which can also do collection and drop-off of the car in London.
Thank you!
