G80 M3 - Used Purchase
Discussion
Looking at making a move from 2 cars into one and the prospect of a G80 M3 is firmly taking hold. I am completely new to BMW so forgive my ramblings!
Used prices of these seem to vary a lot - not sure if that is the current market or not. The consensus seems AWD is the no brainer and with the RWDs not being discounted much more - although they seem to take longer to sell - I might have been tempted otherwise.
Is there anything to look out for on these cars? I dont think there is much benefit of me looking outside of BMW Approved cars although they only come with 1 year warranty only - I have seen some threads suggesting it might be possible to negotiated 2 years - is it realistic?
I see one thread on m3 cutters where the buyer recently turned up to collect and the car was a mess - and it was a dealer. My local dealer has a few in and one of the reg searches scored a YT hit of the same car getting donuts on an airfield. I also stumbled across a non-bmw car recently at a dealer which was ex-press - I don't know if this puts me off or not - maybe its a case of knowing is better...?
Anyway any thoughts appreciated. Including if anyone thinks this kind of purchase in this market is complete madness - its impossible to call a bottom - interestingly BMW Derby has a white m3 at 63500 which AT price tracker suggests has seen a discount of 19k since Sept 2023 - do you think its accurate!? that's quite a drop but a bit of a falling knife!
