BMW M3 e46 5speed manual gearbox issue

Hello, I have a problem with my gearbox on a drift car. I have 5 speed manual M3 e46 gearbox with a shortshift. It is hard to switch the gears from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. (But if you switch from 1st to 3rd or from 2nd fo 4th the gearbox works fine)The rest gears work fine. It feels like it is getting stuck, with really hard pulling you can get the gears in. Do you know what might be the problem? Thank you in advance
