Diff whine

Curious to know how many M2/M3/M4 owners have a whine on their diffs.

F82 M4 Comp, 37k miles....I had a small amount at slow speeds in some gears which others said was normal.......massively reduced/almost gone after a diff oil change! Give it a go.

Yes I was going to try that before any drastic measures. The diff seems to be doing its stuff and there are no horrible noises.

I have the same on F87 M2, same mileage 37.5k... quite whiny at low speed then silent above about say 15mph?

Mine whines most of the time you can hear it cruising on quiet tarmac. Saying that it’s no worse in 8 k miles.

Just had it serviced at main dealer... diff whine is now gone
