Regrettably i have to admit i will buy one. my current fleet includes a 997.1 gt3 cs, an alpina b3s coupe (e46) and an alpina b 3.3 touring (e46).

the gt3 and coupe are going nowhere and in 2026/7 i was planning to buy a used alpina b3 touring - the successor to my current touring.

however, ive never had an M car largely because its not been available in touring format. with that now solved, id like to know what people that know depreciation better than i do think the m3 touring will cost privately in 2027.

id want it fully specced with ultimate pack and ceramics.

it would form part of the daily fleet alongside the coupe but be used for family, rugby, dog and tip run duties

You are planning to buy an M3 Touring in 26/27 (2-3 years from now) and want to know how much it would cost?

Eh, ok…

Assuming you mean a 2023 M3T with average miles, I would take a wild guess and say a £100k M3T would be worth £50k then

My wife says I should try to live in the now more often, which I’ve always struggled to understand. However reading your post I think I’ve finally got it!…

You went to talk through options regarding a car you're thinking about buying in 3 years time?

Regrettably?? The daily fleet?? What are you going on about? You’ve got three 20 year old motors. Not really worth bragging about.

so the only cars worth owning are less than 20 years old? ok then.

It’s your bragging that was bothering me really.

“ Regrettably i have to admit i will buy one”.

I mean, honestly, what made you write that? Are we to think that an M3 Touring is almost beneath you because you’ve got a 997 and two E46s?

And you’re going to buy it, filled with regret, in 2027. Maybe. Dear God.

You’re getting even better. “I’m coming from Alpina ownership”.

It certainly has an awful lot of potential, maybe Welshbeef is alive and well after all.

One stand out for me is actually getting a dealer to talk to you, when I last visited a few to enquire about a new car I got the feeling I may have unwittingly soiled myself, such was the difficulty in getting acknowledged. I’d love to know how the OP managed to engage anyone in conversation on a purchase four years hence, kidnapped the salesman’s wife maybe?
