Why can't people see an F82 M4 in San Merino Blue?
Discussion
Don't get me wrong, I love this car. It was a great commuter and would provide fun on the way home if I decided to come home cross country. (Like the Abarth 595c before it).
I love San Merino blue. But people don't seem to see it. I've had so many people just try and drive into me.
One lady actually managed it .She was turning right, out of her driveway waved on by a helpful individual on her left. Then proceeded to drive into me (stationary with my horn on) while waving and thanking the person on her left (who quickly left the scene). Luckily just small damage to me , her bumper fell off but to be fair it was already held on by duct tape from a previous accident.
But the weird thing is this. It's a big brightly coloured car with running lights and I'm an old slow driver but people just don't see the car. They're constantly cutting across corners, veering towards me at weird times.
I just had an articulated truck that I met on a 90deg bend just carry on turning while I was trying to reverse to give him some space. After lots of horn (again) he stopped and I had to drive up onto the pavement on a really small bridge because he'd trapped me and I couldn't reverse anymore
I'm getting freaked out that the car is invisible!

I don't wish to come over all negative but have you considered some people might be doing this deliberately? I mean M4 + San Merino blue = bit of a tosser? I drove an AMG for a while and the number of 'interactions' with other drivers definitely rose. And I am most certainly a bit of a tosser.

Funny post this. I have a San Marino Blue M4C. I actually WISH some people didnt see me at times. I always get seen though.I love San Merino blue. But people don't seem to see it. I've had so many people just try and drive into me.
Is this just a case of low level driving skills and lack of attention being a lot more common these days?
Covid was blamed for a demise in driving care and attention. I would certainly say that it has continued to get worse in the last 3 years. Its become much more acceptable to crash and just 'bang it on the insurance' in some places and the number of people I see driving 5hitboxes who just emerge out of a junction without looking at all seems to be at an all time high unfortunately.

I always spot SMB M4s(or any M4) when I'm out on the roads though, because I'm always looking for them to be fair.

Nobody ever seems to look at me in my SMB M4 in fairness(to the majority it is just a BMW like the rest of them I reckon). I'm quite attention seeking and I want my Cerbera back because almost everyone looked at me in that!(helped because it made a load of noise I think, whereas the M4 with the OPFs is as quiet as a mouse in comparison).

There's another one in the same village as me. I've been hoping to meet them in the Co-Op car park to compare notes. Agree about the lack of noise and my Imola Z4M gets way more comments.I always spot SMB M4s(or any M4) when I'm out on the roads though, because I'm always looking for them to be fair.
