I’ve got a 2015 M4 and have heard that a software update might help with the cars frenetic traction problems and make it more driveable.

I am guessing that BMW won’t be interested in this with a 2015 car. Does anyone know much about the changes and any recommendations on where I can go to have it done? I’m in Yorkshire but don’t mind a bit of travel to get it sorted.

Cheers 👍🏻

I tried everything, in the end, it's a heavy-ish car stiffly sprung. I had a 15 plate and it was woeful, the competition version was a great step forward though and having the suspension tweaked worked even better

Yes, I had a 15 car also, it had an air conditioning issue and they upgraded the software to comp spec last Summer.
It changed everything! Traction control, damper settings, gearbox change points, throttle engine map etc etc..

In my view it actually made it more docile, wasn’t as quick to pick up throttle and was a bit lethargic at low speeds. (Compare 0-60 times and you’ll see pre-comp is quicker).
Also it changed up gear much earlier in all modes, so effectively more economic. So all in all a different car, which made it easier to drive if you were heavy with the throttle… ymmv
