Impressive stuff, very stable, good driving. I've driven in Germany a few times and that's one of the clearest derestricted sections I've seen. So jealous! And notice how no one is in the overtaking lane - everyone keeps to the right unless passing, unlike here where lane discipline is generally appalling!

Thanks for posting (off to book another continental drive..!).

Yep could not risk anything here in the UK with these fast lane hoggers.

I did 165mph on an autobahn at dawn years ago....I didn't like it.
The closing speeds, especially on lorries are insane,...as are the loads on the tyres and oily bits.

What an experience! I liked the way you pulled back into the slow lane at 190mph (just in case someone wanted to overtake, I presume?)
But.......the thing I love most about this post is YOUR CAR!!!!
That colour combination is absolutely stunning. I've never seen that shade of green "in the flesh" before.
Congratulations on an amazing Beemer.

Loved that, brilliant!

In that environment, is the E60 not more of an occasion?

I can feel another M5 coming!!!!

Did you also happen at any point to own an E61 M5 with "Fly" On the end of the plate?

You must be very local to me then mate!

many moons ago, when i just brought my (new to me) E61 M5, i was blabbering on to the missus about how rare it was whilst out on a shopping trip in spalding.. Nipped into local town car park and the only spare spot, guess who was in the one next to it!

You! (Finally found you!)

I tried to wait outside to talk to you, but had to get a photo of the two rare beasts together!

Miss mine! And no mine wasnt the fake one that was in town around the same time (with cheap stuck on vents) mine was the real deal like yours :-)

I used to do top speed on all my cars. Max was 180mph (tacho) with a Maserati Granturismo. But after watching this video ( https://youtu.be/Jvk2hSIJd9A?t=86 ) a few years ago, I have decided not to top my R8 V10 Plus (~200mph)
