Any one know of an insurer that will include a number of UK trackdays as standard within the policy? Would like to avoid organising "per outing" insurance if I can as admin ball ache.

Is the car owned outright by you, or leased?

I only ask as there might be some finance/lease terms that would come into play if you take it on track.

As for insurance, you either go down the add-on to a road policy (and thus any claims on/off track affect your policy), or you go for a track-only policy which doesn't affect your road policy.

Obviously, standalone track policies are more expensive...although you can mitigate the cost a little by buying a bunch at the same time (I think I save 30% by buying 3 days at a time). The other way to mitigate the cost a little is to only insure a % of the cost of the car. There's a risk that you'll write off the car and have a big bill to pay, but you may save 50% of the premiums by only covering 50% of the value.

For the joint road & track policies, you can try Keith Michaels, Adrian Flux or A-Plan (they have a specialist insurance for modified/track).

For track only policies, try MORIS, REIS, InsureMyTrackday (Ryan Motorsport), Adrian Flux.

Just carefully check any policy's T&Cs for whether they're road policy insurer notifiable and if claims go on the MIB database.
