Hi all I have left a deposit on an M4 with my local BMW dealer. it is on 31k miles. can I rely on the car dash read out for services or can the dealer provide more detail printed etc? Also I wanted to check the 30k mile plugs and filters has been done but as its on 31k? Can someone let me know what you'd expect to receive and more importantly what you are entitled to request. The salesman is a nice guy but aint they all!!

If it’s at a BMW dealer ask them to show you the online service record

it is a bmw can they print that out or is it a case of reading it off the screen? Would you insist on them doing plugs and filters before collection if they hadn't been done as its on 31k and recommended is 30k? it will have warranty but I don't trust any of them much. it states oil service due Nov 2022 and the brake fluid Feb 2022 which they say they cant do early as its time related!!

The plugs are due at 4 years irrespective of mileage so make sure this was done in 2020, the dealer will be able to show you evidence.
Won't be due again before 2024.

No reason they should do a service early if not due.

If they haven't been done then the AUC warranty is invalidated before it has even started lol so I doubt this is the case BUT I wouldn't trust a car dealer as far as I can throw them, including a franchised BMW dealer.

Correct the salesman likes to brush over the details and yes I wouldn't accept the car from a BMW dealer that had missed or delayed service items. I've just emailed them to request a copy of the service history, be interested to see the answer

Yes it'll tell you in the i-drive what was done at each service.

Click on vehicle information, then service requirements, go to the top and click on service history.

Each service the car's had will be listed with the date and mileage. There will be a green, amber or red icon at the left side for each service. Green and amber are ok, red indicates it went overdue for the service, probably shouldn't be AUC if any were overdue.

If the services have been carried out by a BMW dealer, to the right of each service it will say BMW and there will be a five figure number which is the code of the dealer that did the service

Click on each service and it'll tell you what work was carried out.
