Hoping someone can help.
I’d like to change from PS4s to PS4 as I understand they are a better all season tyre…correct me if I’m wrong.
However, PS4 doesn’t come in the same size and I’m wondering if I can move up to 35 height on the rears to accommodate.
Anyone got any idea?
Many thanks

The test by Jon of tyrereviews (he is a PHer) didn’t pick up a major difference in wet weather performance between the PS4 and PS4s.
In the UK there is little overlap in tyres sizes for the two tyres, generally PS4 for 18 inch and below, with PS4s for 19 inch and above.

Interesting. I’m also wondering if it’ll be a slightly softer ride with 35 as well

FWIW, I’ve used PS4 and PS4S as wet track tyres and I found little difference in their wet performance but the PS4S was much better in the dry (even when cold).

Ok. That’s very helpful. Maybe I’ll just stick to them then. Just trying to optimise for all year use.

Also, what kind of mileage are you getting from the rears?

Sorry, I wasn’t clear, that experience was from Golf track cars and I measured their life in days rather than miles! My M4 has Cup2s and as I’m sure you know, they’re crap in the wet. biggrin

The PS4S is a newer and better tyre than the PS4, both in the wet and in the dry. In fact, I have not heard of anyone going from the PS4S to the PS4.

If you are looking for equivalents, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport is recommended.
