Hi all,

Was in the local dealship with my Dad today and managed to haggle a new X3M Comp with a bit of kit on (£80k OTR) for £2000 deposit and £645 a month on 48 months and 10k a year. I calculate that to be around about 20% if this was on the leasing thread which seems like a bit of a bargain for a car like this on PCP?

He's put a deposit down but hasn't signed any finance paperwork just yet. I was just hoping to get some thoughts regarding the car from any current (or previous) owners if there are any on the forum. An X3M wouldn't be my first shout but at that price it seems a bit of a no brainer. The other option was an E63 but they were working out to be well into the £1000s on monthlies.

Bear in mind that there’s 48month 549p/m promo going with 549 deposit for x3m comps

I hadn't seen that offer but had found some similar ones.

The £549 offer works out to £20450 deposit contribution, I think we got £19850 in the end - the higher mileage and slightly higher OTR pushed up the monthlies somewhat.

I know these £549 deals no longer exist as they are based on ‘no options’ stock cars only and everything available now has quite a bit of spec. Again, it’s BMW clearing the backlog sitting at the docks prior to the new cars with os 7.0 launching early next year.
I wouldn’t really consider an X3M as an alternative to an E63 no matter what the discount. You just have to sit in them, let alone drive them them round the block to see why the X3 needs such a high discount to sell and what the extra outlay gets you in the Merc.

Plenty of people on bimmerpost reporting that you can order a factory car offer ends end of Dec as for the E63 well that's a stupid comparison try getting one of them for 550 in and 550 a month....

If you get better deal, you can hand car back within 2 weeks (cancel agreement).
Some people reported all of 24k contributions from bmw/dealer. Depends on haggling skills

Ordered ours last week, not a stock car. Delivery is 3-4 month. Good discount negotiated.

Big discount as I understand is for stock cars (in the dealer network). Order to spec and it can't be delivered before year end.

So big discounts still available for ordered to spec cars, not just stock cars?

When I enquired about the £549 deal there was no standard spec cars left and any left with options were for end of year delivery.

There was no counter from the dealer to order one at similar price for March delivery, which is what I needed.

Lloyds, but to be clear it's a factory car not yet in the UK but not one I speced, it happened to have been ordered by them and released yesterday, the stock in the UK is drying up I had cars sold underneath me as I was doing the deal and dealers are not keen to trade across the network on them.

However there must be more cars coming into the country but again they will be pre speced to make it in time as I believe they are all built in the US at Spartanburg.

Wish I took the plunge as soon as I heard about this earlier.

Did you get close to the £549 deal from Lloyd?

So did you get the same deal on a factory order? I enquired today but only red blue and crappy gold looking colour left. Lots of X4M comps left but nobody wants that

£549 is a base car, the one they had coming in had 4k of options on it so it tipped over to starting with a 6.
