I’ve had a 335d touring for two years and for a diesel dog carrier it’s great.
I’m mulling over the replacement but can’t decide.
I’m thinking new 340i x drive touring but open to suggestions.
It needs to be a touring for the dog but we drive across to Denmark regularly so needs to be capable of making good progress with ok consumption.
I’ve got a Z4 for summer days, an old but pristine E46 318 and a Caterham for hooning.
I’m thinking RS4 or RS6 but would rather stay with a BMW.

I’ve just moved from a 535d F10 into a S205 C63 Premium pack.

What a car.
Noise
Noise with valve open
Torque everywhere
Fast properly fast
285bhp per tonne ish.
Economy is good too for what it is.

I love driving it with pano roof open listening to the rumble then growl then it gets harder and harder and when you ease off the pedal (if in sport+) it pops and bangs.

You get a G meter power and torque gauge spring compression and steering angle
You get a boost gauge
Oil temp and gearbox oil temp
Seats are really nice.

I like the coast mode when throttling off revs drop to 500 and mpg soars.

I’d never considered one until earlier this year then looked into it and totally sold.

Strangely enough “chased” one down the M1 today and it looked great and went away from me at some pace. I think I need to drive one.

It wasn’t me smile only M4 A34/M40 for me today plus minor roads.

Mine is black and it comes with properly blacked out rear windows (OEM) looks the business.

I did 60k miles in the 300bhp 535d and used it to the max every day. I know what it can and cannot do - the C63 walks it in every situation / scratch that it beasts it

The C63 is an utter beast of a car.

The rear seats are 40:20:40 and fold down in that way or a 60:40.

I’ve not worked out which clip to press to get the middle bit dropping alone yet ie the “20” but once I do that you can see it would be ideal for skis and 4 adults luggage (snow chains/winter tyres) blast to the ski resort.

I was on the M1, A43 and then M40.
The noise is addictive- drove my bosses RS 6 extensively and with 560bhp and cylinder shut down when just in traffic it was very docile but when the road opened up and conditions allowed it was epic.
I’ve raced by Caterham quite extensively so used to the speed but the RS was bonkers over 100 and kept going and going. I’m guessing your MB is much the same?

It certainly is.
Officially they are quoted as 470bhp ... but nearly all are showing 540bhp out of the box with 470bhp wheel HP.

It’s the same engine exactly as in the E63 S 600+ bhp.

Ha sorry - I just selected the “what’s new” at the bottom of the iPhone or “my stuff”. Never look into individual sub forums reallly. But as BMW don’t do M car estates what difference does it make given I assumed he wanted one.
