BSS BMW in know just how the owner off the Evo sport fills. I have a Cecotto that i have had from new and in the last couple of years have had some serious offers on it, but i am not interested in selling. Once you have had something that long it becomes part of your lifes memories and in real terms it owes you nothing.
So true, I have an 87 M3 that’s totally original and yes it could make me more financially stable if I sold it, but I have owned it since 1998 and the memories outweigh the monetary value.

I’m sure all classic cars have the same effect but the E30 M3 seems to be very iconic and treasured by its long standing owners.

Looks like a good clean example. I expect there will be no bargain - those who know what they are looking at will bid accordingly. £40k+ IMO.

I’m sure that’s the Dick Lovett car which they have been trying to sell for crazy money for years.

I think the white auction car could well be the car they tried to sell a number of times and 75k does ring a bell.

Looks a very nice car imo but I’m no expert with these.

Afternoon guys

Semi interested in the e30 m3 coming up at Sotheby’s London sale.

https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/lf19/london/lot...

Any one got anymore info on the above car ? Other than what’s been discussed above being a ex dick lovette showroom car,

presumably it a tidy car and to me looks genuine with many standard parts, but I stand to be corrected!

Thanks

Any danger of you actually reading previous posts?

For someone apparently so near to buying a car. You don't seem to do much personal research...

From the factory, yes.

Conversions were possible, apparently. http://www.munichlegends.co.uk/item/e30-m3-sport-e...

Back in the day Birds in Uxbridge used to do the rhd conversion. From memory the down side of this was that they had to reroute the exhaust front pipes to clear the steering column and use a 325 rack. The result was it lost power and didn't steer quite as nicely. Personally I never had a problem with the LHD in the UK you just get used to looking round the inside of things before you over take. Car parks and other drive through things can be a pain though. Gratuitous pic of mine at Silverstone many years ago now.

LHD in an e30 is no bother at all, the car is small and visibility amazing. For overtakes yes it takes a bit of planning but no trouble. My wife drives mine and loves it after days spent in the bloody touran!

OOOFFF!

£170K!

Lots of ACS bits fitted.

Does seem an odd time of the year to be trying to sell a high end car though.

When I bought my E30 M3 (2004), there were a lot more on the market and cars without a sunroof were pretty rare. In fact, I don't think I have seen a Sport Evo without one, even though it was a cost option.

No foam seals on the grill and the drivers seat bolster seems to have sagged (a dead giveaway is that there is no clear picture of it).

i nice car, but not top of the market nice.
