Apart from the obvious, look at the location!
It's in Amman, Jordan!
Not sure anyone is bidding on a pile of useless scrap metal, more just buying an ID to shove on a panelled-up 316 shell or someones own smashed/rotted base model M3 that's going to come out of a bodyshop with Evo2 ID. As has been said, the one panel you could have cut out of that, and would have made that pile of junk worth having dependent on price, has been chopped up. It wouldn't surprise me if someone tries to market an Evo2 that's missing a lot of the Evo bits to someone gullible. It's in Amman, Jordan!
After reading the thread I thought I would give you my input.
I have owned my E30 M3 for 10 years, it is a 89 F 4 owner car In ZInnobar red. It was a 2.3 Kat car, non sunroof, with original black leather seats, but in 1998 whilst still in Luxemburg it had a AC Schnitzer 2.5 engine fitted which is fully documented in history with AC paper work. Since owning the car I have spent thousands on new AC Schnitzer sport kit suspension and other AC bits.
I paid £10000 for the car and the value last year for agreed value was 25k. This is great news if I want to sell but I don't and probably won't ever, there is a special kind of attachment I have to this car.
My issue now is, I bought the car for track days but II have got to the point where I don't want to use it on track as I would not want to go through the heartache of an incident and would I be able to find another the same.
It is insurance time now and I have to get the car valued for my insurance company, I will go to see Chris at Rossietrs but what t do you guys think?

With E30 M3 prices going up and up, it might be worth considering investing some money into regular E30 models as they could earn a decent return too.
. The e30 2.5 ltr Sport in dolphin grey such a lovely car. Wanted one when younger -- could only afford a Maestro 1.6L... Desires far outstripped my wallet then.

That's good looking car - was pretty quick in its time, a great autobahn cruiser and crossed swords with 924 Porsche & such.
It was lovely. I had a 944 that was three years older but the E30 felt light years ahead in terms of comfort, driveability and how well it was screwed together. benny.c said:

Are all E36's going up, or are there a couple of special models to look out for.
I've definitely seen 328i Sports go up from when I was looking for one a few years ago. I've currently got an E46 330i but am thinking of changing for an E36 M3 as my mileage has dropped right off and I really fancy giving one a go and with the chance of it increasing in value.
