Very quick cv question, it won't take you long.......

I'm 35, going from degree level city job to local shorebased marine management position.
I've had four fairly different career changes in the last 20 years all of which are fully expanded upon on my cv.

Bearing in mind I'm now ancient do I really need to list my acedemic qualifications?

Also bear in mind that apart from vocational stuff all I have acedemically are 8 GCSEs

Do I include them on the cv or bin them?

I'm also 35 - I just state I have 10 GCSEs, 2 AOs, an AS and 3 A levels - it takes one line, shows I've got them but doesn't bore anyone.

What he said - a quick one liner, with maybe an indication of grades for any particularly relevant subjects.

What they said. You ideally don't want to take more than 2 pages so you don't have space to mention the schools and universities you attended!

What are you proud of and can talk about - that will have a direct influence on the position you are going for..?

Cut through the Cr@p, the interviewer / hirer will...

Drop the GCSE's, or just mention, numerous A grades etc..

A phrase like : 'Having reached A grades in many GCSE subjects, I focussed my efforts and direction on a career path....... Yaddah yaddah....'

If a prospective employer even gets to your School grades then, you are on the right track - right for the job anyway.

'Puggit' is spot on. The qualifications themselves aren't that relevant after this much time, but do list them. Assuming you passed English and Maths, make that clear (the three 'Aaarghs', and all that).
