I see a few CV's come into the company with "Achievements" as a heading followed by a list, such as "Increased turnover by 40%, increased staff retention whilst reducing sick leave" and so on. Is this ok or could it be seen as giving out sensitive information?

Only interested as I'm thinking of adding my achievements to my CV. Thoughts about the value and morals of this please?

Ta.

I'm not sure about the morals but in terms of the practicality that sort of guff is likely to reduce your chance of getting an interview from me. I want facts and after 20 years of recruiting people I find that the ones who make claims like this tend to be the ones who are full of st.

But it's also true that how people talk about their previous employer has an impact on me, being negative doesn't endear them to me.

In my experience, there is little point re-hashing your job description as your CV. What people are actually interested in is what you did, how you did it, what results you achieved. Things like 'increased turnover by 40%' have little context. A smart employer would try to qualify something balnd like that with questions about maintaining or increasing margin/profit/etc.

Thanks for the comments - I did think "achievements" made for uncomfortable reading.
