Any one know what the average wage of driving a train is?

That's about right - quite a few earn £50k-£60k with overtime though.

50 to 60 is with a lot of overtime, I know of a driver who earnt 52,000 but worked approx 80 rest days, money is very good though basic about £37k for 35 hour week If only I was'nt colour blind

well train drivers vary from 30k - 44k depending on the TOC.... dont believe the stories of 50-60k+ for all drivers.......... to earn that u wud b working for Mr branson & working every day off lol

we do a 4 day week but at our depot its a 24hr a day stn, so lets say we do sum bad shifts ! such as 2.40am starts on earlies and fin at 6am on lates mmmm like most jobs thers a lot more to the job than people think & dont go on about leaves on the line plzzzz lol

you bus divers will never earn 60+

i would have thought that within the next 10 years the job will ceast to exist and all drivers will be replaced by a Dell PC.
