WTD - Can you write about cars analytically?

If so, I could have just the job for you.
The company I work for needs the following:
Account Manager - Degree educated, 2yrs+ experience in Client Service to write reports on car manufacturers' PR coverage and liase with high-profile auto industry managers.
Trainee Account Exec. - Degree educated, 0 to 2yrs experience preferably in Client Service, to support senior managers and contribute to report-writing.
London based, great bunch of people + free car magazines!

It's mainly writing reports with the aid of our in-house database, so that we can provide our clients with an unbiased view of how they have done in the press (and online) compared to their competitors.
There is also the client-facing side, which involves discussing the project over the phone with the clients, taking requests for data and 'digging into the database' (not quite like CY88 and 'Dave' ) to find the answer to their questions. The amount of face-to-face time we get with the clients depends on them - they're often difficult to get hold of - so attending the press days of motor shows is one good way of getting them all in the same place at the same time.

Thread resurrection as we're recruiting again.
Thanks to the internet, we're now also doing a lot more online editorial and social media evaluation, as well as the print stuff. Automotive remains a core part of the work though, so good background car knowledge (nothing technical, but knowing your Meganes from your Mazda3s) would be a significant advantage.

Hi, I'm coming up to the end of my degree this summer so will be looking for work from July onward.
Degree is in science so used to writing technical reports, and have 13 months experience in what was essentially project work when I was on placement (no clients but we had obligated parties depending on my work).
I've always been able to (vaguely) remember details about cars better than a lot of other things (like what I need to know for my degree for example!) and when it comes to 'digging' for info I tend to be better than my peers (subjective I suppose).
Would I be suitable for the role you're after and if so could I have some details please?
