Fellow PHers,

...I've got an interview coming up on Friday perhaps, so I want to have a reasonable figure in mind for them to consider, when discussing pay. I'll be paid by the hour. At my old workplace the base hourly rate was £7.50 apparently, and that too was in S.London and was more of a "lower-end" suit retailer...

This place is supposed to be a bit more swanky as it hails itself as a "made-t-measure/bespoke" tailor and only does made-to-measure suits etc. Is £7.50 reasonable then?

Any advice and guidance would be very handy, especially if you've got some knowledge in the area! smile

That's £13.5k/year. It'll be tough living or commuting to London on that. More than half your wages will go on travel or rent. So in answer to your question, I think that'd be a st hourly rate.
