Hi all

Having just passed my GNVQ level 3 in welding and level 2 in fabrication

i am strugling geting my first job as most firms need somone with past exsperance. banghead

So Id like to start a mobile welding company to do damage repear work to gates ec sec
and mot welding work

Do you no if i will need any automotive training to do mot welding and do you think there will be much work for a small mobile welding company in astley manchester?

Any advice offerd is a hellp thanks

Well you certainly don't need any automotive training to do MOT welding - just a MIG welder. smile

Can't answer any of your other questions though, but can tell you that most garages do offer welding work so you'd be up against a lot of established competition.

Thanks for your input

My thaught is that garages have a lot of overheads wich i will not have and i am hoping i will get some work from peeple doing restrashon,s at home

I am glad to no i dont need mechanic training to take on mot work
