Hi,

I've worked for a local automotive presswork company for 9 years in the West Mids, starting as a trainee inspector, now my title is Quality Technician. I do all 1st off, last off, final & audit inspection, as well as PPAP's, control plans, fmea's & CMM work. I now feel like its time to move on, as i've bought a house, and the pay here means we'll be struggling to meet the silly costs. However, all the Quality Engineer jobs I see advertised demand HND's. As I came to work at my current place virtually from school, all I have are 10 GCSE A to C, and an NVQ in Technical Services. Can I do a HND part time or are they full time courses? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hi

I did my HNC, my HND and i'm on the last leg of my degree (Engineering), all done on a part-time, 1 day a week basis. It can be hard work doing it along side a full-time job but as you say it's worth while in terms of carear prospects.

Are you willing to move for work?

No idea how the pay fairs, but I believe there is decent room to grow in this company.
