Modern Apprenticeships in Engineering/Manufacturing

Are there any company owners, HR managers, line managers, recruitment consulatants out there that could give me some information about taking on Modern Apprentices?

I am using the 'introduction and management of apprentices' as my work-based project for my Diploma in Management and am just researching at the moment.
