I'm posting on behalf of my dad who is 56 years old and finds himself out of work due to his employer going into liquidation. Unfortunately he'd only worked for the firm for 2 months but was really enjoying the work. He's basically looking for a job he can retire from (in around 9 years or so) so he's not the type of person who's going to be with you for a couple of years and then getting itchy feet ~ he's in this for the long run! He's based in Greater Manchester and is used to working in the North West of England. His key attributes are as follows:

~ Over 30 years' experience in sales, both to end users and retailers
~ Experienced in both cold calling and maintaining existing customers
~ Excellent problem-solving skills
~ Excellent interpersonal skills
~ Computer literate (although not a PH member!)

His most recent employment was as a Business Development Manager for a constuction and maintenance solutions firm. Prior to that he sold to local authorities, construction sites, retailers, tradesmen and other end users. He has experience of selling everything from paint to fire cement, and general hardware to agricultural products, but despite being an old dog is still willing to learn about new products.

Full CV available by email.

Many thanks for reading.
