Average or median... These are two different concepts.
If they're getting those mixed up I'd take the conclusions with pinch of salt
Hey, but I guess that's why I'm getting paid more
TBF it says 'median' about 8 million times in the article If they're getting those mixed up I'd take the conclusions with pinch of salt

Also says average a few times... But I'm just being a sarcastic bar steward. It's another Racehorse post so I'm not taking it too seriously. Original Forbes piece it's referencing is here.. https://www.forbes.com/uk/advisor/business/average...

What I can't understand is that it says the 60+ number is affected by part time workers, but the 18-21 value is pretty much the living wage, and I'd have thought much more heavily affected by part time working.Age 22-29 – Median annual salary: £30,316

22-29 is a very wide spread in that particular group. It's the difference between just out of uni and starting work, and maybe 7 years experience.
Yep. Certainly in my life. My salary doubled between the age of 23 and 27. Starting out on a very low salary as I was straight out of uni.I don't think a lot of scientific rigour went into the article.
