Moving employers with SC
Discussion
Your SC Clearance will be held by your previous employer for up to 12 months, from the date your employment ceased, or the end date of your current SC Clearance, whichever is soonest.
If your new employer has a requirement where your role requires an SC Clearance, then their security office will be able to check on the UKSV Portal on the validity of your clearance, and undertake a transfer of your clearance to themselves.

.
No longer the case. More often or not now it's suspended when you leave a role but it's easily re activated when your new employer adopts it within 12 months..
