Rate code rates sickness

This has appeared on my pay slip , it points to sick pay , I am off sick but company don’t pay sick pay , other than statuary, the amount is far more than statuary pay so I can’t see it being that , it’s more like a basic weeks pay
I’ve tried to Google it but can’t find any results , I’ve tried to contact wage dept & haven’t managed to get anyone , hr / line manager say contact wages dept

If your company didn't pay sick pay (OSP aka Occupational Sick Pay as opposed to SSP) then they wouldn't have a payroll element (a code on the payroll system) for sick pay (other than SSP).

Are you sure they don't pay sick pay?

I was told no by other employees , but that is what I’m wondering now ( contract does not mention sick pay ) .
