How many interviews before landing a new role?

Had a career change a couple of years ago...now 2 years experience in a high demand field, fully qualified I thought I'd walk into a better paid job.
4 interviews later and been rejected on all 4. Feedback I'm getting is due to a lack of experience on a certain criteria. Feeling a bit disheartened tbh. Just wondering how many interviews on average it takes before finally getting a new role??

So many variables. Age, experience, are you trying to get hired in a more senior/promoted role. When you say high demand, is there a substantial candidate shortage - etc etc.
Some roles we are hiring are getting 200+ applications in the first week.

Of the four interviews you have had so far, think who you had the best rapport with, call them (or email them) ask for me detailed feedback - say something like
I am hugely aware it is difficult for companies to give specific feedback, however I have a genuine desire to integrate feedback to help develop my career and my impact at interviews. So whilst I am aware I may lack some critical experience that you were looking for, is there any further feedback you'd be willing to share that could guide me for next time ?
Whenever I am approached in similar fashion, I always provide more personal specific feedback.
You want to be certain that it IS the experience issue, and not some observed behaviour that you can correct.
