“ Tramping role - Canada - USA

A very different proposition - Want to move to Canada as a Class 1 / C+E Driver

We are working exclusively with one of Canada's largest retailers who are looking for Class 1 Drivers to move to Canada in April / May time and beyond.

Salaries around £60,000 - £75,000 =$97200 - $120000 Canadian - potential for more

Role requirements:

5 years Minimum Class 1 experience in the UK. (At least 1 year in the last 3 years).

No criminal convictions. Spent convictions can be accepted (as can affect entry to USA)

The client has asked for British Passport holders (this is not meant in any discriminatory way and apologise if viewed that way, the client's request most likely for immigration reasons - not mine).

To enter the USA - Covid vaccinations are all currently needed.

Education for Work permit - 12 years in total of education in UK or abroad. For example, in the UK until 18 years old or A - Levels. Or GCSE's / O levels + any other diplomas, degrees, courses such as NVQs, army courses etc.. to add up to 12 years.

Role description:

Tramping, permanent job, paid by mile.

Permanent Job, typical run involves Driving from Canada to California in the USA and back 3/4 times per month - £1750 at today's currency rate per trip.

Could go into other parts of the USA

We can work with you to arrange interviews and the immigration process as Canada are very open to UK HGV Drivers.

Please also feel free to share with anyone you think may fancy a lifestyle change, earning more, saving more and living in a new country.

Please apply and will also send you an information pack.

All depends on who the client is , Freshlink I'd give a wide berth to as they run the triangle from Winnipeg to Cali then Toronto and home , try doing 4 of those in a month , nope . Loblaws wouldn't pay those rates so that rules them out .
If you fancy an adventure go for it , just don't believe half the BS the recruiter tells you , and remember you're tied to the company until you obtain PR and they sure won't be in a rush to help you get your freedom , why would they ?
Saying the above is a warning to go in eyes wide open , I did it nearly 20 years ago and served my sentence for 16 months on longhaul , applied for PR at the very earliest stage every time and moved onto pastures new without regrets , best move we ever made .
If anybody does fancy giving it a go please feel free to ask questions , just remember "no pain no gain" so be prepared and do your research fully .
