Has there been any update on this since CK and Boox were investigated?

I'm on my second gig (both have been Outside of IR35) and I use Paystream for their PSC/Ltd services. I've never used their Umbrella services but being brand new to contracting a year or so back, I wanted to use well known accountants that provided a user friendly portal. I still make all decisions by myself, but can call or e-mail them whenever I need to seek advice.

Searching this topic online is full of doom and gloom and pretty much suggests that everyone that uses companies that provide portal type PSC services (like Paystream and many others) are screwed. Is this the reality or not?

I've spoken to Paystream and (yes of course they were going to say this) but they are confident that any HMRC investigation would absolutely not apply to them as they are not as hands on as those that have been investigated, nor do they actually make any decisions for the client... but nevertheless it has got me worried.

Bin off paystream.

Don't go with any of the all in one out of the box PSC suppliers, especially if they are offering differing levels of paid services for increasing levels of hand holding such as paystream.
